   Bottom-to-Top Orientation

This is the traditional UK and European orientation of these charts. These charts can become very wide as the number of generations is increased.

This orientation is seldom used except when creating combined charts such as the left half of a bow-tie chart

This is the standard American orientation of these charts. These charts are more compact but become difficult to display once they become over 1.8m (6ft) in height as the number of generations is increased.

   BEFORE the chart is generated

You can preset the following:
Chart Orientation
- bottom to-top, left-to-right, top-to-bottom, right-to-left
Chart Title - text; font; size; position
Chart Position - left margin; top margin
Chart Background - NONE, solid colour, image
Chart Layout - between generation spacing; within generation spacing
Generations - maximum number of generations

Box Size
- width; minimum height;
Box Border - line width; colour; style (or set by accent conditions)
Box Fill - colour (or set by accent conditions)
Box Frame - YES/NO (or select by accent conditions)
Box Shadow - YES/NO (or set by accent conditions)
Box with Image - YES/NO; image position; image size
Box Contents by Person Type - Focus, Spouses, Ancestors, Duplicated
Name Line - capitalize; font; colour; size
Data Lines - content; font; colour; size;content of place data
Connection Lines - line width; colour; style
Include Siblings of Ancestors
- YES/NO
Sibling Lines - line width; colour; style
Exclude Living Persons - YES/NO

Show duplicated persons - YES/NO

   AFTER the chart is generated

You can modify the following:
Lines within an Individual Box
- edit text; font; size; justification; wrap; append new test lines; delete text lines
Select Boxes - move boxes; adjust lines; grouping objects, etc.
Annotate the Chart - images; text boxes; lines; rectangles, etc.

Chart Files - can be saved; can be pasted together to form larger charts; sent to another computer for easy printing
Pagination - repaginate to avoid boxes crossing page breaks
Printer Properties - paper orientation and page size; select very large page sizes to print whole chart on one piece of paper (on a large format printer or by using print bureaus like SCEYA)
